Invite
Customers can be introduced to the budget, via two types of invitation channels:
- Invitation insights
- Bank channels
Invitation Insights
The invitation insights are an inherent part of the budget widget, and provide a proactive recommendation for eligible users to join the service based on various criteria. Invitation insights will trigger based on user behavior on demand, through the “getInsights” API call. Two invitation insights are available:
- BudgetRecommendationSpendingCategory – provides budget set-up suggestions to the user, for spending categories with a major increase or decrease. For more information, refer to the insight spec document.
- BudgetRecommendationEvents – provides budget set-up suggestions to the user, based on financial events such as: balance issues, income or savings decrease, external credit card activity, external account linking, etc.
Note: For more information, refer to the insight specifications (not within the scope of this document).
Bank (Manual) Invite
Bank channels should also be considered as option to advertise the budget service to additional non-eligible users. This may include emails, SMS, Marketing tiles, menu options, etc.
The bank invitation can be incorporated in a different notification system, as part of a campaign, or in a dedicated location in the bank app.
The manual invitation will then commence the regular onboarding process and navigate the customer to the Manage Budgets page.
